Overview of Windows 10 editions

Microsoft offers Windows 10 for commercial use in three editions - Home, Pro and Enterprise. Home Edition is available as an OEM and retail license. Windows 10 Pro can be purchased as OEM, retail or volume license. In our offer, you will find Pro edition as a full or upgraded version. Enterprise is only available as a volume license.

Windows 10 for home or small businesses

Windows 10 Home

Windows 10 Home is suitable for households, end consumers and small businesses that do not require advanced features offered by the Pro edition. Home Edition offers many features, including a battery saver, Microsoft Defender, and virtual desktops to keep you organized and more efficient.


Main features of the Home edition:

  • Cortana, a virtual voice assistant that can help you organize your time, plan meetings on the calendar, manage work or retrieve information. Cortana is controllable by voice or text input.
  • Device Encryption encrypts devices and helps protect data from unauthorized access.
  • Microsoft Edge is a web browser developed by Microsoft back in 2015, which replaces the previous Windows Explorer web browser.
  • Windows Hello is a technology that protects the operating system and allows users to access devices using fingerprints, iris scans or face recognition.
  • Windows Ink allows you to write and draw with a digital pen directly on your computer screen.
  • Windows Store Apps is an application that allows you to install games and various applications on your computer.


Windows 10 Pro

Windows 10 Pro is an operating system designed for commercial customers with software product support granted by manufacturer until October 2025. The operating system offers everything that the Home Edition has, and is complemented by additional privacy, security, and management features.


Additional Windows 10 Pro features:

  • Assigned Access restricts the user account to use only permitted applications in Windows. The so-called Granted access allows the logged-in user to use the application in full-screen mode without the ability to close it or switch between other applications.
  • BitLocker is a program thatprotects data integrated with the operating system. It secures and encrypts the disk, thus protecting data on computer.
  • Client Hyper – V allowsrunning multiple operating systems at once within a virtual machine.
  • Dynamic Provisioning configures new Windows 10 devices.
  • Group Policy management is a feature that allows network administrators to manage the configurations of multiple users and computers.
  • Mobile device management is a mobile device management that lets you control and secure phones and tablets.
  • Remote Desktop, allows users connect to a computer and control it over the internet from virtually anywhere.
  • Windows Information Protection helps protect corporate data by encrypting sensitive content.
  • Windows Store for Business provides list of applications users in your organization.This allows device administrators to directly assign applications to specific users.
  • Windows Update for Business simplifies update management and allows you to maintainthe current version of Windows with newer features

Windows 10 Enterprise

Windows 10 Enterprise is designed for organizations with a large number of users. Enterprise Edition is only available as a volume license. It is built on a specific version of Windows 10 Pro and offers other advanced features designed to meet the requirements of midsize to large organizations. Additional features help with data management and protection.


Additional features of Windows 10 Enterprise:

  • AppLocker is an application that can lock a file or application.
  • Branch Cache allows client computers to access locally, not over the WAN
  • Credential Guard represents protection against attacks against login data.
  • Device Guard represents additional security layer that protects your device against malicious code execution.
  • Direct Access allows client computers to connect to the corporate network if they have an Internet connection.
  • Windows To Go allows you to create a workspace that can be run via USB on computers.
