Windows Server
As part of the public procurement procedure, SÚJB requested licenses for the latest server operating system Windows Server 2022 Standard. Access licenses were part of the requirements Windows Server 2022 Device CAL.
The goal of the project was to upgrade to the latest version of Windows Server licenses for a total of 512 cores, including the delivery of 350 access licenses for end devices.
Securing new and secondary licenses
We have supplied licenses from free market for Windows Server 2022 Standard for the appropriate number of processor cores to the NSA. Device CAL access licenses were delivered via CSP (Cloud Solution Provider) program, as so-called "new licenses", i.e. licenses from Microsoft's direct distribution. Thanks to the combination of "new" and used software licenses, we were able to provide a profitable solution while maintaining the fulfillment of all functional requirements, even if the given licenses are not currently available on the used software market.
Savings
The total savings reach the 25 % mark and represent a saving of more than 12 000 € in absolute terms.
