In 2020, Motol planned to modernize the IT infrastructure. The assignment was clear: a gradual transition to a manufacturer-supported version of the software solution.

The hospital required an upgrade of server operating systems, database infrastructure, as well as a transition to a newer OS and MicrosoftOffice suite. The goal of the project was licensing efficiency.

Solution

Office according to user needs

We provided the hospital with an operating system Windows Server Datacenter and database server SQL Server Enterprise 2019, which delivers excellent performance and innovative features for managing large databases. The operating system has been upgraded on the end stations to Windows 10 Pro. Used Software licenses for Microsoft office suites were also supplied in different versions 2013, 2016 and 2019 according to the actual needs of users. By deploying older versions of products for users with limited needs, it is possible to achieve significant savings.

Savings

Total savings currently exceed 45 % which represents more than 40 000 € in absolute terms. The long-term cooperation is proof of the satisfaction of both parties.
